The Google Mobile-first index is coming in 2017.  What does it mean for law firms?

In short it means that Google is expected to start indexing all websites by how the website is read through mobile devices.  It means if your website does not score well with Google for mobile devices, it is expected to negatively affect your website’s organic rankings for other devices in 2017 (laptops, desktops and tablets).

On the flip side, if you have a mobile friendly responsive design you might gain a boost to your desktop rankings this year!  Pretty cool, huh?

Being mobile friendly doesn’t just mean having a responsive design.  There are plenty of responsive designs that convert terribly to mobile devices. If you have a terribly coding responsive design full of errors and without the optimization required to allow the design to load fast on mobile it could hurt your website ranking for all device types now.

If you are a SEO client of First Page Attorney you can breath easy.  Our clients enjoy some of the cleanest coded and fastest loading mobile responsive websites in the industry.  It’s an advantage we bring to any website we work on.

If you are interested in getting your own website optimized in the highest manner for mobile, give us a call today and we’d be glad to help.
